Audi in Cincinnati, Ohio - Car damaged on service lot
I am completely dissatisfied with my experience at Beechmont Audi in Beechmont, Ohio. I called on 7/12/12 to request that service check out my '03 Audi. I was trying to decide if I should keep it a little longer or trade it in now. I gave the service guy my name, PHONE #, etc., and was instructed to drop off my car that PM so he could look at it first thing in the morning. I did and I left the keys and wrote my PHONE # on the drop box envelope. I didn't hear from him, so I called him mid afternoon, 3PM, to find he had called a number I hadn't given him. It was too late to have any work done and I was charge $50+ for them to look at my car. I was annoyed at this but much more upset after I picked up the car. When I stopped and got out of the car, I saw a large dent in the right rear quarter panel. I went back and was told someone would call me on Monday. The person who called said I should file an insurance claim, that this was no different than if a car hit me at the grocery store. He didn't say "I'm sorry this happened", he didn't offer to help get the repairs done, he just gave me a "it's not our problem" attitude. I'm buying the VOLVO C70 and am never going back to Beechmont Audi again. This guy needs customer service skills and they need to take responsibility for what happens on their lot.
I bought a certified pre-owned 2002 Audi A4 Quatrro in 2007. The thing has been giving me problems since day one. I have replaced countless lines, plugs, altenators, engine parts, etc. and I also keep up the maintenance. I drive a lot less since my move to the east...
In 2004 I purchased a leather couch from Stickley Audi that was manufactured by Bradington Young. Now it has started to deteriorate so that *** is emerging through the leather and one can see the under area material. After repeated calls/emails to Stickley and only...
My son has a VW and I had leased an Audi - they are both under the VW umbrella. the most frustrating thing about this company is that when you have a problem or complaint - you are directed to the VW "consumer advocates". these are young kids who answer the phone, listen to you complain about how poorly the cars are made and what a nightmare they are to repair. They let you rant and rave, then, always come back with "sorry, but there is nothing we can do" no matter what the complaint. It seems that the company is never responsibel for any problems the cars have. I was almost killed when my Audi - which was only 18 months old adn I always took to the dealer for servicing - died when I was exiting th NJ - Garden Atate Parkway - Audi did NOTHING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Audi TT 2003
Unfortunately what you hear about Audi's and problems (especially electrical) is true. My 03 Audi TT is full of more problems than it's worth! First, the turn signals stopped working and I had to get that fixed. Then, the windows decided to act up, requiring the replacement of a $500 (plus labor) motor in each (which I haven't bitten the bullet and replaced yet). And yes, it's the motor, not the regulator, I already checked that. Now, my headlight bit the dust. And yes, I realize now my car is technically 7 years old, but I'm pissed anyway. I'm hoping by now the new TT's are not having these problems, but if you plan on buying a used TT, consider this your warning. They are adorable (can you tell I'm a girl?) and super fun to drive, but they can be a pain in the *** when it comes to maintenance (and I take excellent care of my baby!). I guess I should have listened to my dad and stuck with Toyota. . .
Audi TT 2003, Part II
This is a follow up to my my previous post in which I mentioned my passenger side headlight quit working. I hoped that it had just burnt out. But no, it was an electrical problem! Instead of just replacing a $140 bulb, it instead required the replacement of a bad headlight range control unit, which ended up costing a total of $642 (although the labor cost more than the parts!). This pretty much just sealed the deal of me getting rid of my TT. . .please please please DO NOT buy an 03 TT!! (I plan on trading mine in for a non-Audi and letting the dealership try and get rid of it at auction for some other sucker to deal with)
I took my 2005 AUDI A4 lease to be serviced. The shuttle chauffer made the following statement to my husband who does not speak English; this after asking where he is from : YOU drive an AUDI??? This is the second AUDI I have owned. I will NEVER purchase another AUDI...
